ColDesi T-Jet Blaze DTF Review: The Safest Entry Point for Crafters and Micro-Businesses

If the idea of voiding your Epson warranty and wrestling with third-party RIP software gives you anxiety, the ColDesi T-Jet Blaze DTF is your peace of mind in a box. Marketed squarely at crafters, Etsy sellers, and small print shops, this pre-modified A3+ printer removes the guesswork from starting DTF.

ColDesi takes a standard Epson base (believed to be L1800-derived), installs their proprietary white ink system with a built-in micro-pump, loads it with their own DTF inks, and ships it with a simplified RIP software that just works. At $1,495, you pay a premium over DIY but you gain a 1-year warranty, US-based phone support, and the confidence that your first print won’t be a clogged printhead disaster.

In practice, the Blaze delivers crisp, vibrant transfers with excellent white opacity perfect for cotton T-shirts, tote bags, and even mousepads. It’s not fast (about 2.5 minutes per A3 sheet), but for someone printing 5–10 items a day, speed isn’t the priority. Reliability is.

The trade-off? You’re locked into ColDesi’s ink ecosystem and Windows-only software. But for non-technical users who value simplicity over tinkering, the T-Jet Blaze isn’t just a printer it’s a business starter kit with training wheels that actually work.

The printer itself is capable but what really sets ColDesi apart is their support team. Had a clogging issue at week 3 and they walked me through everything on a video call. Turns out I was using the wrong humidity settings for my shop. Once corrected, zero problems since. The Blaze produces clean transfers with good wash durability. Not the cheapest option but the hand-holding they provide is worth it if you're new to DTF.
